Wangsit Siliwangi Mandala Museums

Is a museum of weapons located in Bandung,West Java.Siliwangi name it self was a founder of the Pajajaran Kingdom that have infinite power,it is said that wise and prudent king and prestige in running governance,while the meaning of the Mandala wangsit is a place to store the mandate,advice or advice of past warriors to the next generation through object-bodies had been recovered. The name of the street where this museum,Lembong road, taken from the name of Lt.Col. Lembong,one Siliwangi soldiers who became victims in the event of the Armed Forces coup Ratu Adil.Previously,he road was called Oude Hospitaalweg.

Buildings have architectural style of late romanticism, built in 1910-1915 in the Dutch colonial period as the residence of Dutch officers. After independence was taken over by troops and used as headquarters Siliwangi Siliwangi Diusisi (Bandung Militaire Akademie) in 1949-1950.This building stood on a land area of 4176 m2 with building area of 1674 m2.



On May 23 1966 this building was inaugurated as a wangsit Mandala Siliwangi  museum by the Division Commander Col.Ibrahim Siliwangi to eight leadership.In the year 1979 built a new building, inaugurated the level of 2 10 November 1980 by the Regional Commander Maj.Gen. Siliwangi to 15 Yoga Sugama and His inscription is signed by President Soeharto.



Museum Collections are objects used by Kodan forces Siliwangi, from primitive weapons like spears, arrows, a dagger cleaver,and Molotov cocktails,up to modern weapons such as armored rail (made in Indonesia), cannons,and armored vehicles.
